About XinKai Cultural and Educational Foundation
The mission of XinKai is to provide an educational and cultural space for families to gather and learn about Chinese culture and traditions and to build confidence, identity, and community.
Our Vision
Celebrating the diversity of America as a strength - a dynamic interaction between cultures and traditions, a continual learning from each other - not a historical burden or relic,
Recognizing that America has a long complicated attitude toward people of Chinese and Asian descent, that Asian Hate is probably not the last challenge to face the Chinese and broader Asian American Community, and
Honoring the struggles and accomplishments of Chinese Americans in all walks of American Life,
We aim to:
Provide an educational and cultural space for families to gather and learn about Chinese culture and traditions and to build confidence, identity, and community.
Provide scheduled events or seminars celebrating holidays such as Chinese New Year, Dragon Boat Festival, and Mid-Autumn Festival.
Foster in America a love for Sinic literature, art, music, and history, and supporting its creative and artistic developments
Foster mentoring relationships and opportunities, small and big, between leaders and youths in the community.
Provide enrichment programs and services for students such as Chinese, art, meditation, music, dance, science, STEM, drama, calligraphy, Taichi, flower arrangement, Buddhist talks and seminars, public speaking and debate, including some taught in Chinese, with English support, to provide a unique immersional experience.
Provide seminars, opportunities, and workshops for students to discuss, learn, participate in, contribute to for growth and development, including leadership training, college applications, careers outreach, society and discussions on technological trends, and current events.
Support generally creative and expressive activities in the communities in which we operate.
